Scada Systems

SCADA, an acronym for supervisory control and data acquisition, encompasses a range of software applications designed to oversee and regulate industrial processes. Its primary function involves collecting real-time data from remote locations to facilitate equipment control and monitor operating conditions. By leveraging SCADA, organizations gain access to essential tools enabling them to make informed decisions driven by data for their industrial operations.

Widely regarded as one of the most prevalent types of industrial control systems, SCADA can effectively manage diverse industrial processes across various domains.

SCADA systems consist of both hardware and software components. The hardware components are responsible for gathering and transmitting data to field controller systems, which subsequently relay the information to other systems for processing and presentation through a human-machine interface (HMI) in a timely manner. Additionally, SCADA systems maintain comprehensive event logging and recording functionalities to report on process status and identify any encountered issues. Furthermore, SCADA applications are equipped with alarm mechanisms to promptly alert operators in the event of hazardous conditions.
